Yes, the 2015 Kia Soul “!” is the name of the model trim. I asked the same question when I first looked at the specs. I couldn’t think of a better way to name this little spunky car than with an exclamation point, anyway.
This particular model came to me in Inferno Red.
Something about the word inferno that gets me excited. While exact translation from Italian (my native language) is “hell”, the fire red color of this little Kia is a sight.
Seriously, I think Inferno is the perfect word for the color. Looking closely and sometimes with the suns reflections, I see hues of orange and yellow.
Let’s get the specs out of the way:

That’s not all the specs, but those are the specs that struck me, and because this is my review, well, you get the point.
This was the first Kia I have ever driven.
It has to be said. It’s a funny looking car.
No one will argue with you on that. It’s looks like a rolling box. Some may like that style, it’s not personal preference, however, once inside, you’ll forget what the outside looks like.
The Soul was comfortable, great amenities, amazing sound and genuinely fun to be in.
One could even say, it’s got Soul.
Was that punny?
With the Infinity sound system I was always wrapped in my favorite SIRIUSXM channel (Channel 18, Billy Joel or 56 The Highway). Belting out my favorite tunes was an absolute joy.
The coolest part of the interior was the sky-view panoramic roof (or whatever it’s called). It was the coolest view of the South Florida sky that one could get, aside from being in a floating glass box, I presume.
Whether I had to go to the grocery store or the beach, the 60/40 split rear seats were incredibly convenient. I’ve never had so much room in a car that was this “small”.
I’m not a car review guy. I’m a regular guy that drives every day cars.
Would I buy the Kia Soul? No.
Would I buy a Kia? Definitely.
I am so impressed by the build and the amenities and thought put into this car, I can’t even imagine what their other cars are like. I’m definitely intrigued by the marque and want to check out some other vehicles in the Kia lineup.
This car is for you if you are looking for a great little roadtripper or something to bop around the city in. This car isn’t for you if you are looking for raw power or speed. It isn’t that type of car at all.
If you want something that turns heads and is an underrated little cruiser, the 2015 Kia Soul ! is the car for you.
